Mobility is a crucial component of athletic performance, ensuring that athletes not only move effectively, but more importantly remain injury free. The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is a system used to identify mobility, stability, and imbalance issues. Every football player will have the FMS done several times throughout their career at Dartmouth. We use the results to create programs to address the needs of each player prior, during, and after each training session. In addition to the work done with the strength & conditioning staff, our Director of Integrated Health holds mobility classes throughout the week. Mobility is vital to the health and overall performance of our team and why we emphasize it throughout our football program.
