First head coaching job came at the age of 28 at the University of Maine.
Four of Teevens’ players have won the Bushnell Cup (Ivy League Player of the Year) and three others the Ivy League Rookie of the Year award.
Rode a bicycle from San Diego, California to Hanover, New Hampshire in three weeks during the summer of 2007 to raise awareness for breast cancer.
Eugene “Buddy” Teevens ’79 has spent 15 seasons over two stints as the head coach at Dartmouth. He has four Ivy League titles to his credit the first as the League’s Player of the Year in 1978 and he serves as the associate director of the famed Manning Passing Academy. Teevens and his wife Kirsten have two children: Lindsay lives in Lebanon, N.H. with her husband Matt and daughter Caroline, and Buddy Jr. (who joined the staff this summer) lives in Hanover with his wife McKeanna and children Eugene V and Leila.
